When it comes to clothing, whether for men or for women, jeans has always been a staple item and one that never goes out of style. Proof to this is its evolution in style in several different ways, from skinny, to straight-cut, to bootleg, to hipster, etc. It’s just so versatile that you can get it plain, faded, tattered, or best, you can customize it just the way you like it.
Speaking of customized jeans, I recently came across a very interesting site called Getwear.com, which greatly talks about custom jeans and made to measure jeans, and how or where you can get it. It gives a lot of information about customized jeans and interesting facts of some of the most well-known brands we have today such as GAP denim, Christian Dior, GUESS, and Replay among others. Such a nice treat for jeans-fanatic like me!
I have a couple of them. But the one that is most accessible to me and stands out more often is my make-up or kikay kit. I love the feeling of fishing out my make-up kit when I feel bothered and frustrated, whether at work or in any other situations.

my make-up essentials
Lately, I have been so into eye shadow and gentle pink blush. I like a natural-looking fix, so it’s always just between gentle pink and bronze for blushes, and lighter shades of eye shadow to give me a fresh and smiling-looking eyes after a very grueling situation. I like Maybelline’s collection of blush and eye shadows because they don’t make my skin itchy.
I have quite sensitive skin, and putting on make-up easily gives me zits, so I really try to find something that will make my skin stress-free as well. I am also not a brand-conscious type when it comes to cosmetics. For as long as it looks good and doesn’t itch on me, then I’m fine with that.
Right now, I go for Maybelline for eye shadows, blushes, and lip gloss. I am also currently on trial of PAC’s (Professional Artist Cosmetics) powder eye shadow and so far I am loving it!
The first time I ate at Burgoo I wasn’t too fascinated with the food. In fact, I couldn’t remember what it was I ordered then, but I do remember that I wasn’t too eager to go back.
Ironically, I had the chance to dine at this place again over the weekend when hubby and I met up at the mall after work. Since it was still rush hour at that time and assuming that traffic would be horrendous, we decide to get some dinner first—before heading off to my in-laws to fetch our daughter—and Burgoo has been the place to be.
To be honest, I kinda seem to look at Burgoo differently this time. I don’t know if it’s because the ambiance at SM North EDSA is cozier…or must be because I have not eaten again since the last time I did. Either way, I was sure I enjoyed the food at present. Though we only tried two of their dishes, I thought I had a better experience this time around.
I really like the N’awlin’s Classic Platter, which is a combination for sausages, Cajun chicken, and baby prawns served on a bed of rice. No wonder, it has become one of their bestsellers. Supah yummy and heavy in the stomach.

filigrenasia zirconia ring
I bought this piece as a Christmas present to myself last Saturday at the Filigrenasia branch (located at the 2nd level) in SM City North EDSA. Truth is, I didn’t have any previous plan of gifting myself with a jewelry or accessories, but that day while I was waiting to meet hubby at the mall, I happen to drop by the store and saw this beautifully designed ring with a dramatic rows of Zirconia stones on it, and right in an instant I thought it’ll be a wonderful gift to myself for the holidays. So there, without a single bit of hesitation I asked for a new stock and wore it.
Simply wonderful!
Today is the sixth day I am skipping rice or any big meal for dinner. Yes, that’s my new diet and it’s the first time I am trying it in my entire life. And so far, I really think I am succeeding because somehow my body is becoming accustomed to this new regimen.

trying the oatmeal diet...
For someone who has a really, really big appetite like me, the first two days of eating only oatmeal with some slices of fruits (apple, banana, or papaya) is simply not enough to fill a grumbling stomach. But at the same time, I am hellbent to loose weight and get back to my pre-pregnancy body. So I guess, I really just have to get serious with it and with doing three times a week exercise.
Before I decided to try this kind of diet though, I googled some of the health benefits it will give me and whether or not it could really help me out in achieving my objective, which is, to loose weight. A lot of what I read say that oatmeal is one of the most accessible food out there that can lower bad cholesterol level and that it’s a good source of Vitamin E and protein. Another oatmeal-related study also suggested that eating oatmeal can effectively make you lose significant amount of body fats.
I am now at a hundred and ten pounds and I still need to shed at least 10 more pounds to fit in my old jeans. Let’s wait and see if it’ll work on me…lolz
I am getting a little pressured on this. I don’t want to get something useless and forgettable. But the thing is, I have several things in mind that I want to receive. But the limit is only P300, and so somehow I thought, what can I get for P300?
The Wedding (Nicholas Sparks). Last time I checked, this one costs over P300. But I’ve been rooting to buy this after I read the short summary at the back of the book. It looks quite promising, never mind the title.
Cellphone load. Oh well, not a bad thing. I can use it to send text greetings to friends and family relatives during the holidays.
Cool, nice blouse or t-shirt. There are a lot in tiangges and P300 can really go a long way. Just please get me something that won’t shrink after washing.
Chocolates. And lots of it. Yum, yum!
So far, those have been my thoughts lately. I hope I can get either of those!
Wandergirl is Cherrylie in real life. She’s been so obsessed with blogging and the word “wanderer.” She has since used this pen name after reading it from a novel (about a free-spirited girl who just so love to travel) some years back.
