Kris Allen’s “No Boundaries” in music

A little while ago I was watching a re-run of The Ellen De Generes Show where 2009 American Idol winner Kris Allen was a guest and sang the season’s winner’s single “No Boundaries.”

Though I was still wishing Adam Lambert to have had won the competition (even after American Idol concluded) there’s no denying the fact that Kris Allen has a style of his own that charmed millions of Americans, catapulting him in the roster of elite Idols. To be honest, I am beginning to like and appreciate his vocal style, not to mention his good looks. The title of his single aptly describes his American Idol journey, from being the simple boy-next-door during his audition to being a potential top-selling singer.

Below is the video of his appearance on Ellen serenading the audience with his single No Boundaries, which is beginning to climb the music charts.

American Idol’s (season 8) final two

Since I moved back to my parent’s house nearly a month ago (to have someone oversee me while I’m waiting for my firstborn’s delivery and now while I’m recovering) I have not been getting myself updated with the American Idol season 8 hopefuls. The last episode I’ve seen was when Scott MacIntyre got eliminated.

Like many other avid viewers I have my own favorite, and that is Adam Lambert. I’ve been rooting for him since the beginning of the season. I’ve not seen his audition piece until he got into the final 12 though but thanks to Youtube for easily giving me access of the show’s episodes!

Today as I look into American Idol official website, I was surprised to find out that one of the crowd’s favorite since the season started, Danny Gokey, got eliminated, leaving Adam Lambert and Kris Allen competing for the next to be hailed as the newest Idol.

Who's Going to Be the Next Idol?

I’ve nothing against Kris Allen. In fact, I think he’s got the talent, plus the good looks to make him a sought-after artist. I just thought that it’s gonna be a battle between Gokey and Lambert in the end. After all, they almost always get the nicest feedback from the 4 Idol judges.

Nevertheless, the season’s not yet over until the winner is announced. While I did not catch the previous episodes, I’d be looking forward for the season’s finale. Who knows what other surprises awaits me and everyone else who religiously watch the show. My heart still goes for Adam, just like as it was with David Cook!
